Who This Policy Applies To
This Policy applies to parents and legal guardians who register for and manage accounts on behalf of their children (ages 6β15). All accounts are created and held by parents. Children do not independently register and do not hold separate accounts.
Information We Collect
We collect the following information from parents at registration and during use of the platform:
- Parent's full name and email address
- Payment information (processed and stored by PayPal or Stripe β Netoglobe does not directly store payment card details)
- Child's first name, age, gender and date of birth
- Optional profile information (profile photo β see age restrictions in Section 3)
We may also collect technical data through your use of the platform, such as browser type, IP address, pages visited, and session duration.
Children's Information and COPPA Compliance
Our program serves children ages 6β15. Netoglobe is committed to compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable U.S. federal and state law concerning the privacy of minors.
All accounts are created by and remain under the control of a parent or legal guardian. The parent's email address serves as the account identifier throughout the program. Children do not independently register or control their accounts.
Because all accounts are registered and paid for by a parent or legal guardian, enrollment itself constitutes verifiable parental consent under COPPA. During the registration process, parents are presented with clear disclosures and provide explicit, affirmative consent (via a dedicated consent checkbox) to the following data practices on behalf of their child, including children under age 13:
This consent is given once at enrollment and applies for the duration of the program. Netoglobe will not collect identifiable visual or personal information beyond what is described above without obtaining additional parental consent. Parents may withdraw consent for any of these features at any time by contacting support@ctkid.com, though doing so may limit the child's ability to participate in certain program activities.
Parents of children under 13 may request review, correction, or deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting support@ctkid.com.
How We Use Information
Information we collect is used to:
- Create and manage student and parent accounts
- Deliver and administer the educational program
- Process payments
- Communicate with parents regarding program logistics, schedules, and updates
- Send marketing communications about future programs (parents may opt out at any time)
- Improve and develop the platform and curriculum
- Moderate content and ensure platform safety
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.
Class Recordings
Live classes are not routinely recorded. However, Netoglobe may record a class session for the following limited internal purposes: (a) to provide a personal review copy for an enrolled student who was unable to attend; (b) to allow the instructor to review student questions and interactions in order to improve teaching materials; and (c) for internal curriculum development and quality improvement.
By enrolling, parents provide advance consent for recordings to be made for any of these purposes. All recordings are strictly for internal use only, will never be published or shared publicly, and access is limited to Netoglobe staff directly involved in the program.
Analytics and Tracking
We may use third-party analytics tools including Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand website usage, measure the effectiveness of our marketing, and improve our services. These tools may collect technical usage data through cookies and similar technologies. Please refer to Google's and Meta's respective privacy policies for details on their data practices.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to support platform functionality and analyze usage patterns. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies, though this may affect certain platform features.
Community Platform and User-Generated Content
Registered students may post content (code, text, images, and links) in the platform's classroom and community areas. This content is visible only to other registered users and platform staff. Parents are responsible for supervising and reviewing content posted by their child.
Platform staff manually review content on a best-efforts basis. Parents and students are encouraged to report inappropriate content to support@ctkid.com. Netoglobe reserves the right to remove any content that violates these policies.
Third-Party Services
The program involves interaction with the following third-party platforms and services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Zoom (live class delivery)
- PayPal and Stripe (payment processing)
- Bluehost (student web hosting, purchased independently by parents)
- Google Analytics and Meta Pixel (website analytics)
Netoglobe is not responsible for the data practices of these third-party services.
Data Security
Netoglobe implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information stored in our systems. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and Netoglobe cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
Program Diplomas and Public Recognition
Upon program completion, students may receive a digital diploma for personal use. If Netoglobe wishes to publish a student's diploma, name, or photo on ctkid.com or any other public-facing channel, this requires a separate, explicit written consent form provided to and signed by the parent at that time.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as an account is active or as needed to provide services. Parents may request deletion of their child's account and associated data at any time by contacting support@ctkid.com. We may retain certain records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Parent Rights
Parents have the right to:
- Access and review information collected about their child
- Request corrections to inaccurate data
- Request deletion of their child's account and personal data
- Withdraw consent for any of the specific data collection features consented to at registration (such as profile photos, camera use, or community content sharing), at any time
- Opt out of marketing communications
All requests can be submitted to support@ctkid.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Changes to This Policy
Netoglobe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
